The Voice Behind the Ink
A faceless storyteller sharing reflections, stories, and books under the pen name P.Y. Christian.
I'm P.Y. Christian, an illustrator by day and author by night. I write across genres: lyrical epic fantasy, thriller, and speculative fiction. My work circles themes of identity, belonging, and the quiet violence of being seen.
When I'm not writing, I'm crocheting or playing video games, and my three cats (the staff) make sure I stay on schedule. Echo & Ink is my corner of the woods: a space for writing updates, works in progress, and essays pressed like leaves between pages.
What I Write
- Epic fantasy with lyrical prose and mythic resonance
- Thriller and speculative fiction that cuts close to the bone
- Essays on politics, identity, and grief
- Diverse representation: BIPOC, queer, and neurodiverse characters at the center
What Readers Can Expect
- Stories that feel like coming home to a place you've never been
- Work that doesn't flinch: some cozy, some not
- Found family, complicated loyalties, and the courage to be seen
- Prose that lingers: tender, strange, and alive
Why "Echo & Ink"?
The name comes from a story idea and a notebook. "Echo" is for the emotions that linger long after the moment passes. "Ink" is for the act of catching them before they fade. This space is where I do both: writing stories, sharing process, and leaving traces of the worlds I'm building.
